Agent Pane Switcher
The Agent Pane Switcher is back2vibing’s replacement for Command-Tab. It lists running apps in most-recently-used order, and expands the selected app into the agent sessions and windows underneath it — including sessions that live inside a tmux pane or an SSH host, which Command-Tab cannot reach at all.
Open it with the shortcut set in Keyboard → Agent pane switcher (Alt-Tab by default).
Click the panel, then use the real keys — j/k/tab app · h/l session · a–z jump · ` or [ ] workspace · / search
560 × 520 — the size the panel opens at
Move around
Section titled “Move around”| Key | Does |
|---|---|
| Tab, ↑ ↓, j / k | Move between apps |
| ← →, h / l, ` | Move between the selected app’s sessions and windows |
| A–Z | Jump straight to the app that owns that letter |
| / | Search apps, session titles, branches, and window titles |
| Return | Open the selected target |
| Escape | Leave search, then close and restore what you were on |
While you move, the switcher peeks the highlighted target — it raises that window behind the panel so you can see it before committing. Escape puts back whatever the peek covered.
What a row shows
Section titled “What a row shows”An app row carries its icon, name, and a count of the sessions and windows beneath it. When an app has agent sessions, the selected row expands to list them with:
- an attention dot — blue for waiting on you, purple for working, orange for finished and unviewed
- the workspace the session runs in
- the chain the session sits behind, such as
tmux seoul · %3 - a window badge when the row raises a plain window rather than a pane
Rows the liveness sweep proves dead are hidden for the rest of the session, and the footer reports how many.
