General Settings

In the General tab, you can control how back2vibing starts and stays available:

  • Start on login: launches back2vibing automatically when you sign in.
  • Hide to menu bar on close: keeps back2vibing running in the menu bar when you close the window.

If you hide the window, reopen it from the menu bar tray.

Enable Disable during screen share to suppress interruptions during screen sharing or recording.

When this is on, back2vibing skips:

  • focus switching
  • completion sounds

This helps avoid unexpected context switches during meetings and demos.

Set a global shortcut to quickly toggle back2vibing on/off from anywhere.

This is useful when you need a fast “quiet mode” without opening the app window.

General settings also include an Alpha updates toggle:

  • Off: stable release channel
  • On: alpha channel (earlier features, higher change risk)

See Updates for the full update flow.
