Local-First and Data Ownership

back2vibing - AI Agent Orchestration for Claude Code is a local-first application. This means:

  • All your data is stored locally on your computer.
  • We do not have access to your content, notes, or any data you create within the application.
  • You are the sole owner of your data.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide the Services:

  • Email Address: We collect your email address solely for the purpose of license management, activation, and fraud prevention.

We do not collect usage analytics, telemetry, or any other behavioral data from within the application.

Network Activity

The application is designed to work offline. It only makes network requests for the following specific purposes:

  • License Activation & Validation: To verify your purchase and unlock the software.
  • Update Checks: To check if a new version of the software is available.
  • AI Provider Usage Data: When you use the Usage feature, we make API calls to retrieve usage statistics from the following providers:
    • Claude Code - To fetch API usage and token consumption data
    • Gemini CLI - To fetch API usage and token consumption data
    • Codex CLI - To fetch API usage and token consumption data
    • Antigravity - To fetch API usage and token consumption data

    These requests are made directly from your computer to each provider's API. We do not store, cache, or access this usage data on our servers. The data is displayed locally in the application and is solely for your reference.

Payments

We use Polar.sh as our Merchant of Record.

  • All payments are processed securely by Polar.sh.
  • We do not access, store, or process your credit card or financial information.
  • Please refer to Polar.sh's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

Data Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on the security of your computer. We recommend keeping your operating system updated and using strong passwords to protect your local files.
